SCULPTING CONCRETE October 13th 1-3pm

95.00

October 13th 1-3pm

Spend an afternoon creating a concrete planter or sculpture for your garden with concrete artist Todd Carr. Todd will begin with a demonstration explaining techniques he has learned over the years from hours of trial and error experimentation. Unlike working with hypertufa, Todd prefers the strength / resilience and options that unaltered mixed concrete provides.

All tips tricks and techniques will be demonstrated from mixing and curing the mixture to sculpting leaves, planters and sculptures! Each student will be able to create a leaf (if available) and different types of planters. Take these skills learned with you to your garden or studio for years to come!

**It takes at least 24 hours for concrete pieces to  cure, covered with a towel. The longer you let it cure before unveiling the stronger the pieces will be.
