every ornament can tell a story…
Pastoral Residents is a collection dubbed for the spring inhabitants of the knoll and the foothills beyond. Celebrating the season at hand, these sculpted swallows, lambs, hares and wildflowers take the form of tuliperes, ornaments and as vases for minor bulbs and specimens.
Each one of a kind piece is crafted from stoneware using vintage ceramic molds and Yixing handbuilding techniques. They’re then slipped, glazed and finally fired in an atmospheric salt kiln up the mountain in nearby Sugar Maples art center.
Whether used to showcase the most special flowers or as a decorative accent in a cozy nook, spring tablescape or personal seasonal vignettes, these versatile and endearing vessels and ornaments, adds a touch of charm to any space and will be a welcome heirloom addition to any collection.
